My passion is dancing and GROOVE gave my passion a new MEANING – My passion has a PURPOSE now: making the world a more harmonious, more loving place; I am honored and lucky to share the gift of dancing in my life.
I must have been born dancing and looking at babies I believe that we all naturally move with the music without any lessons. My mom encouraged me and supported my passion for dance. The benefits I have from pursuing my passion are having a good health, having a great energy, staying in a positive state of mind, smiling and expressing the positive feelings in my heart.
I always danced and taught dancing, BUT, when I GROOVEd for the first time, several years ago at the Can Fit Pro conference with Misty I felt free in my dancing I felt empowered and uplifted by the energy of the other dancers on the dance floor who were also free and happy, it was fascinating…I got hooked…I wanted more of that kind of dancing…
Grooving for my dancing is like the fresh air for my breathing. Grooving together enriches and amplifies my own experiences. The metamorphosis which happens on the DANCEfloor impacts all aspects of my life, continuously.
And it is that feeling in my heart that made me want to create the similar kind of space for everybody. I was so excited to bring it into my dance classes. GROOVE is so simple and yet so beautiful; everybody can do it and everybody can experience the feeling of being successful and having fun on the DANCEfloor.
From the first moment I met Misty and experienced The GROOVE I wanted to be involved, I wanted to make it happen, create the space, find the space and arrange for the space, offer my home and office as shelter for GROOVErs who are coming from around the world and want to attend GROOVE events in Toronto, this way helping spread the GROOVE worldwide. I still remember with warmth in my heart the LOVETRAIN in the living room after our cozy family like patio BBQ dinner.
What I love most about groove is that it brings together like minded/hearted people and that allows a strong bond amongst GROOVErs. It feels like being with very close friends, sisters and brothers, it is like being in a HAPPY HOME.
I am grateful for the strong soul-friendships created through Grooving together in my local community and around the world.

I have been a dance instructor for over 15 years and LOVE helping people find joy through dance.
I began teaching dance fitness 10 years ago and found out exactly how terrified people are to move their own bodies.
I started researching ways to help my students relax and actually enjoy the process. Luckily, I found GROOVE!
I immediately connected with this “MOVEMENT” it is exactly what I was looking for.
Authentic dance for EVERYbody! I am so proud to say, I have been able to help hundreds of people benefit from this simple way of moving.
Since I became a facilitator in 2009, I have never looked back.

For years I was trying to figure out a way to allow people to share what I experience when I dance. Those moments when you get lost in the music and the movement, when you let it take you, when there’s only here and now, are so incredibly freeing and you feel vibrantly alive.
Often people could sense something, watching me on the dance floor, and they’d wonder how I did it. I couldn’t say, because it just happened. Yes, I had taken dance classes and sure it helped me move my body in certain ways, however that moment when you’re so in the moment, it’s not about remembering steps, styles or choreography, the dance happens, your soul is free and expresses itself in ways you couldn’t expect. Some of the most magical moments in my lofe, happened on a dance floor.
So I wanted to figure out how to share this way of letting go, not caring what you look like and let the music have you.
On day I came across an article in a magazine about Misty Tripoli and THEGROOVE. I couldn’t believe my eyes. It matched exactly what I had been looking for. I got very excited and it didn’t take long before Misty showed up in my country and I got to GROOVE for the first time. Soon after I took my facilitator training and started facilitating THEGROOVE almost right away. It was the right time and it sure was the right thing for me. Now, I’m proud to say I’ve been grooving my community for almost two years and I’m amazed at what THEGROOVE provides for people, how it supports them to be more and more free and courageous in their expression. What also stuns me is how it brings people together from different demographics, ages, backgrounds etc., and how previous dance experience doesn’t matter at all. We all have so much inside of us that’s waiting to come to fruition. On THEGROOVE DANCEfoor your uniqueness is honored and it becomes obvious how much it contributes to the rest of the group when you dance fully like yourself. I have so much love, respect and enthusiasm about this movement and I’m so proud to be a part of it as a Facilitator and the Ambassador in Sweden.

GROOVE found me a few years ago when I was recovering from an injury and looking for something different to shake things up! I have always loved music and dancing and THEGROOVE was the perfect combination! I am a firm believer that God sends you what you need and there GROOVE was!
I love to GROOVE because it is so much fun and feels so good! THEGROOVE has made it possible for me to be free, happy and healthy! It’s a way to continue to learn to love and connect to my body, mind and soul in an AUTHENTIC way. THEGROOVE has been and continues to be a blessing! The JOY that comes out of this beautiful expression of movement is incredible!
The great thing about it is that all that matters is the music and how your body wants to move! THEGROOVE creates a safe space to let yourself go because no one cares what you look like! No judgements, just you and the wonderful people dancing with you! THEGROOVE communities around the world are so welcoming and are such a family that you feel that you’ve known them forever! The diversity of people that are GROOVErs is just that: DIVERSE they are from all walks of life and bring something UNIQUE and special to THEGROOVE. I am always honored to be in the company of Misty, THEGROOVE Team and the GROOVErs! I am so grateful that as a participant and a facilitator I get to share this experience with others on amazing DANCEfloors!

In my daily work I inspire and help people in need to exit gangs and their criminal way of living.
I’m also a music-lover, a performer and choreographer (gymnastics and Street) and I easily get inspired by the power of music.
I had the opportunity to GROOVE at an event in Copenhagen two years ago – I fell for it. Deeply in love!!! And have been ever since….. I cannot not GROOVE! In many years I’ve been told what to do and how… I love the choreo-world as well, but on my GROOVE journey I found that moving authentic and free gives me the whole body and mind experience. It’s my way to clear the head and get my energy back. And I love to bring it on!! To see how people respond to The GROOVE and to see them grow with it! It’s amazing…. No limits, just love. Nothing more, nothing less. The GROOVE will get you there.

Moving to music is healing to me. And I don’t mean it in a mainstream, superficial way, because movement actually healed me!
Ten years ago I was suffering from anorexia, anxiety and severe depression, and so I dropped out of my studies in dance pedagogy. Analyzing my body’s movement in the mirror everyday made my mind go crazy, I think. Nothing was ever good enough, and I was constantly striving for perfection, comparing myself with everyone! For many years I did nothing but receive therapy, and it helped but it was actually Yoga and GROOVE that saved me from this “striving to be perfect” -illness! I came across a talk by Misty on YouTube, where she was addressing body image. Something in me just said “find her and learn from her!”. So I did!
After attending my first facilitator training I can honestly say my life changed completely. I have never danced to impress anyone ever again. Now I dance to keep myself grounded in my body, in tune with my deepest essence, and I dance to create joy and happiness within!
Because of what GROOVE does for me, it is no surprise that my greatest honor is to provide DANCEfloors for people to experience what GROOVING can do for them! I was the first and only one in Norway that facilitated GROOVE, but after a year I managed to gather a group of like minded to get trained. Now we are 8 facilitators and growing!
I have such respect for everyones individual reason for stepping onto the DANCEfloor. All I want to do is create a safe space for people to have their own unique experience, and hopefully as much fun as possible! This body we are born into is meant to feel good! And It is meant to look exactly the way it does right now! There is nothing you need to do, it already is perfect! I know that now! So let’s just enjoy and GROOVE together!

The very first time I GROOVED, I felt like I’d found home. GROOVE instantly took me back to when I would go out dancing as a teenager at night clubs (underaged!), when I didn’t care what anyone thought of my dancing, when I just moved because the music made me want to, when dancing filled me with sheer joy.
I love that when I GROOVE I don’t have to worry about looking like anyone else, or moving like anyone else, or whether I should be on my left foot or the right. I can just connect with the music, move my body and feel freakin’ amazing.
As a facilitator, I love seeing others connect to themselves and to the music, and just dance. It’s a beautiful thing to experience. I feel so lucky that I get to share THEGROOVE with others.
